Event Operations Associate, IPF Atid

Location: New York, NY or Washington, D.C. New York staff are currently working in person one to three days per week. Washington, D.C. staff work remotely five days per week.
BACKGROUND
Israel Policy Forum’s mission is to build support for a secure, Jewish, democratic Israel through a viable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We do that by elevating the public discourse and advancing pragmatic U.S. policy toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, U.S.-Israel relations, and regional diplomacy among policymakers and community leaders.
POSITION SUMMARY
Israel Policy Forum is seeking an Event Operations Associate, a new position created to support Israel Policy Forum’s rapidly growing young professionals program, IPF Atid. Created in July 2017, IPF Atid engages thousands of leaders in their 20s and 30s. IPF Atid has chapters in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Toronto and also hosts programs in other communities across North America.
The Event Operations Associate will support the growing work of the IPF Atid team by planning and executing event logistics, processing vendor payments, maintaining invite lists and RSVP records, and managing post-event follow up. This role will also support some aspects of event and travel logistics for other Israel Policy Forum events, especially when there is overlap with Atid programming.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the seamless execution of community events by coordinating logistics, including managing event software and registration, preparing detailed event schedules and runs of show, managing venue, catering, and other vendors.
- Prepare marketing materials for events, upload content to Israel Policy Forum’s social media, update event listings on website, and create promotional materials for programs.
- Manage payments to vendors in coordination with Operations team ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee day-of event preparations, including pre-event setup, on-site management, and post-event wrap-up.
- Track and input data for evaluation measures, collect feedback from participants, and analyze key metrics to gauge the success and effectiveness of programs.
- Regular evening or weekend work will be required to accommodate events schedule.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in events planning, operations, and/or other related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities, and ability to maintain a high level of calm and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to edit, proofread, and ensure the accuracy of finished work products.
- Outstanding time management skills with an ability to be responsive to revisions and meet deadlines.
- Ability to learn new software programs quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to execute short-term, deadline-driven daily tasks.
- Ability to take initiative, be resourceful, and exhibit a problem-solving mindset, and a desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a variety of cross-functional departments.
- Knowledge of Israel and the Middle East and current events, and familiarity with the institutional Jewish community and U.S.-Israel relations is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual salary range is $52,500 - $62,500 commensurate with experience.
